Jake Schneider - Executive Director
I recently moved to the area with my family of 4 and 2 German Shepards. I am a passionate MN Sports fan and enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling or just being outdoors. In addition, I love coaching and cheering on my 2 children in the multiple sports they each play. I have been working in healthcare for over 20 years; I started my career as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in a small nursing home up north. Throughout my journey I have worked alongside many wonderful leaders who have blessed me with some great opportunities—I have learned so much from each, for which I am forever grateful. I have been an Executive Director for the past 9 years and thoroughly enjoy it. Being a part of so many individuals’ lives—whether it be my coworkers’, residents’, or the family members’ lives—is what I truly appreciate. I do view this role as a calling, and each and every day I try to give my full attention and focus to the team, residents and their families. Building relationships, making people smile and being trusted by so many to ensure the health and safety of their loved ones is my goal. I am excited to be here at Stonebay of Orono! Feel free to stop by my office to say hi.

I recently moved to Mound. I am excited to spend this summer near the lake. I enjoy being outside and exploring all the amenities that the surrounding area has to offer.
Something that you love about working with seniors/Stonebay: I was a CNA prior to this job and love that I can still enjoy the company of the seniors and hear all of their stories from the past and the wisdom they have to offer. ‘
Jessica Saba, - Business Office Director
I live in southern Minnesota with my husband, Kevin; daughters Emily and Lauren; and Maggie the cat. I have worked in a variety of jobs including Children’s Book Publishing, Freelance Writing, Office Management, and I am very excited to be a part of the Stonebay family. In my free time, I love to read, do watercolor painting, and spend time outdoors hiking or on the water.
I was very excited about the opportunity to come to Stonebay because I truly enjoy getting to work in such a positive environment filled with so many new people. I look forward to spending time with the residents and learning more about their lives.
Hello! My name is Lori Mitchell, and I am the Director of Clinical Services.
I graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota, with a degree in Nursing. Since then, I have worked as a Critical Care Nurse and Diabetes Educator and have participated in numerous Clinical Research Trials. For example, when our staff checks your oxygen saturation (O2 Sats), I helped a local company design and obtain Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the pulse oximeter used in communities like ours. I also collected data for a common diabetes medication called Metformin, which helps treat Type II diabetes.
What I enjoy most about being a nurse is being part of a team and community, always having something new to learn, empowering others, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. There is never a boring day at work, and I find great satisfaction in knowing that I am making a difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, fishing, cooking, crafting, and spending time with my two labs, Bree and Riley.
