Testimonials
"I enjoy living at Stonebay. I have made some nice friends and really like the activities that are provided, including purse bingo, karaoke, and happy hour! I have even learned a new game, 'Hand and Foot', and enjoy playing games with the students from the Orono schools. I followed my cousin here, and now we have another cousin that just moved in.
To say this feels like home is an understatement. I want to express my gratitude to my housekeeper. He is such a nice man and does a really great job. He always makes sure that I am happy with his cleaning, and I can even say he is a great dancer, with his mop as a partner! The kitchen makes me my favorite foods, especially hamburgers! I also have wonderful aides that help me with what I need. The rest of the administrative team are very kind, welcoming, and accommodating to my requests. Thanks for making Stonebay a great place to live."
"Stonebay of Orono has been a good place for my mom to live. It feels homey with a not too large, but not too small community. Our family has appreciated the welcome we all feel from the staff. Mom has received good care in Memory Care. We especially enjoyed the holiday meals with family members. The food is very good and accommodating for my mom with special dietary needs. Everyone is very kind."
"The minute we walked into Stonebay, we were struck by the difference – anyone looking for an independent, assisted living, or memory care community will be too. The facility is bright and cheerful, with open, sunlit and airy spaces that perfectly reflect the upbeat attitudes of Stonebay’s staff and residents. The staff are exceptional. The entire administration team are caring and responsive professionals who put their residents’ needs first. My mom moved to Stonebay of Orono Senior Living three years ago and she, and our entire family, couldn’t be happier with the love and care she’s received."
"My mother was a resident in memory care at Stonebay Senior Living for almost two years. I was very happy with the care that my mother received. Caring for my mother from a long distance was difficult, but I was comforted and reassured by the level of attention and concern that she received at Stonebay.
The management and staff at Stonebay provided a welcoming, caring and safe environment for my mother. They were easy to communicate with and were always there to help and to answer questions. Although my mother had end stage Alzheimer’s, the staff did everything that they could to include her in the social activities. They also made special meals for her. I know that my mother felt loved and cared for by the staff at Stonebay, and I know that she loved them in return. A huge thank you to everyone at Stonebay. I would not hesitate to recommend Stonebay to others."
"When our mother needed to move to assisted living, we had no idea of the process or how to proceed. The staff at Stonebay walked us through the steps and made the transition painless. Stonebay is not just assisted living, but our mother’s new home that is filled with joy and staff that truly cares."
"I am so thankful to have Stonebay and the staff guiding me along this journey with my mom. We have experienced this facility in all aspects, Independent Living, Assisted Living, and now in Memory Care. The Care Providers have become family, and I couldn’t do this without them."
"Being in a smaller facility has been excellent for my wife with Alzheimer’s. The caregivers get to know her on an individual basis, and they get to know me also. The administrative staff also know the residents and the families on a personal level. They are positive and very supportive of our needs. I feel welcomed and engaged each time I come to visit my wife, she has received a loving care environment and excellent support, as have I, her primary caregiver and husband."
"We’ve found Stonebay to be a clean, welcoming environment with genuinely kind staff who help make residents and their families feel comfortable, listened to, and cared for. Having mom at Stonebay has provided a great relief from the constant worry when she was at home alone. We’re appreciative of and thankful for all those who take good care of her. The various activities keep all residents engaged and sharing experiences together, helping create a nice feeling of community."
